For Aero’s initial New Year’s Eve they wanted to create a spot that would accomplish two things: 1. Engage the crowd and 2. Get the sign on TV. Check and check. We created a cool spot that played off of the idea of glittery confetti and then incorporated a live TV camera shot into the creative. The crowd loved seeing themselves on the screen and the sign was over Ryan Seacrest’s shoulder for his entire broadcast.
This holiday season, Aeropostale showed their contribution to the Times Square New Years 2011 Party by adding a live camera and billboard screen event to the newest LED billboard (D3LED). Shot from the Aeropostale 2nd Floor Balcony, the live event would portray those waiting for the ball to drop at midnight pose a kiss to the “kisscam”.
We were asked to create the motionography, including a 3D background of New York City and the 2011 confetti piece that would help launch the new year.
Pixelfire also sent a film crew over to New York to film and maintain productions for that event.
