BLUEWATER PROJECTION MAPPING

BluewaterTech Projection Mapping

We were asked by BlueWater Technologies to “push the edge” for its annual 2012 Tech Expo in Detroit, MI. A steampunk theme was given as the creative direction and we were told, “Go for it!” The result was an underwater scene with large steampunk whales, barracudas, and mines that transitioned into a floating sky scene, complete with airship dirigibles. The entire collection of work was modeled in-house, including several steampunk themed sea creatures, hand-painted textures, steampunk sunken relics and organically animated vegetation for the underwater scene. The sky scene consisted of steampunk airships with custom hand painted backgrounds and textures. The event was held at the famous Fillmore Theater in Detroit. The content was created as 7 synchronous HD signals that all ran uncompressed from the 7th Sense video processing system – 6 for the architectural projection mapping and the final as a large stage LED wall. The final results were stunning and we couldn’t be more proud.
